Storage Guide

The Maison Fostier Charcuterie and Cheese Storage Guide

Welcome, culinary enthusiasts, to the Maison Fostier Storage Guide! Here, we'll provide you with helpful tips for storing our artisanal charcuterie products to maintain their quality.

Temperature Tips

For optimal freshness, store our charcuterie products in a cool environment. It is recommended to keep them in a temperature range of 2°C to 4°C (36°F to 39°F) inside your refrigerator. This range helps preserve their flavors and textures.

Charcuterie Storage

After opening, if you have leftovers, wrap the charcuterie products in parchment or wax paper and place them in a loose plastic bag. This allows them to breathe while retaining moisture. Avoid using aluminum foil as it may affect the taste.

If you prefer a drier texture for our Saucisson, you can wrap it in a cotton cloth and store it in a cool, dry place. The cloth helps absorb excess moisture, resulting in a denser and drier Saucisson over time.

Pâtés Storage

Our pâtés are best stored in airtight containers in the refrigerator after opening. This helps maintain their moisture and flavor.

Cheese Storage

To keep our cheeses fresh, wrap them in cheese paper, wax paper, or reusable wax wraps after opening. These options allow the cheese to breathe while maintaining proper moisture levels. If not available, a plastic bag with a few holes poked in it can suffice.

Slicing Technique

For an optimal experience, you can slice the charcuterie with a sharp knife if you don't have a slicer. Ensure that the knife is sharp and preferably thin. This allows you to achieve precise slices of your desired thickness. Adjust the thickness according to your personal preference, whether you prefer thin slices or slightly thicker ones for added texture.

We hope these tips help you maintain the quality of your Maison Fostier products. Enjoy the delightful flavors!
